THE ART OF FILM MAKING MEETS SCIENCE OF ARCHITECTURE
I am a visual storyteller who uses the language of film to bring architectural designs to life.
My work is about capturing the essence of a design, the emotions it evokes, and the stories it tells. It’s about framing the beauty of architecture in a way that speaks to the viewer, creating a narrative that goes beyond the physical structure.
With a background in architecture, 3D visualization, and animation, I bring a unique perspective to cinematography. I understand the intricacies of design, the play of light and shadow, and the importance of perspective. This allows me to capture footage that is not only visually stunning but also tells a compelling story.
Over the years, I have worked on several professional architectural cinematography projects for renowned architects and corporate clients like HPE, DSM, and MMOSER. My journey into this field was accelerated by my previous experience in design and animation, but it required a significant amount of effort and continuous learning. I spent months mastering Sony cameras, DaVinci Resolve, and Fusion for film compositing and even delved into the world of VFX magic with TyFlow.
One of the key aspects I focused on was understanding the principles of photography, such as exposure and composition. This allowed me to intuitively capture good shots, rather than overthinking them. This journey not only improved my video skills, but also enhanced my design, presentation, and visualization abilities.
I believe in the power of visual narrative through film to communicate ideas, to inspire, and to evoke emotion. Through my lens, I aim to create experiences that resonate, that captivate, and that bring the viewer on a journey through the world of architecture.

CARBONADO RESIDENCE
THE FOUNDATIONAL ARCHITECTURAL CINEMATOGRAPHY PROJECT
The ‘CARBONADO RESIDENCE’ project was a significant milestone in my journey into architectural cinematography. The challenge was to capture the essence of this ultra-modern contemporary residence, designed by the famous practice 23DC, while also showcasing its unique architectural elements and luxurious interiors.
My Role:
As the videographer for the Carbonado Residence, my role was to visually narrate the story of this residence. I was tasked with capturing the architectural details, the interior design, and the overall ambiance of the house, ensuring that the video reflected the sleek, minimal, and contemporary style of the residence.
The Process:
The process involved significant planning and execution. On the shoot day, We started with setting up the camera, gimbal, and slider for architectural shots. I developed a special technique where I added the camera with a lens on a gimbal, which I controlled indirectly with its app on my phone. I used that freed capacity to slide this whole setup on a manual slider. This allowed me to control the start and end position of the shot, and capture beautiful flow shots.
Best Part as Videographer and Editor:
As a videographer, the highlight was capturing the radiant atmosphere of the house, the interplay of light and shadow, and the beautiful compositions. As an editor, enhancing these shots in post-production, color-grading them to give them a character, and creating a seamless and engaging visual narrative was the most rewarding part.
Best Part as a Designer and Visualizer:
As a designer and visualizer, the best part was applying my architectural design and 3D visualization skills to videography. I was able to appreciate the overall design, including the radiant atmosphere of the house, the interplay of light and shadow, and the beautiful compositions in a way that a traditional videographer might not. This unique perspective allowed me to understand the importance of color selection in interiors and how it can create a certain ambiance.
Reflections and Conclusions: This project taught me the importance of meticulous planning, creative problem-solving, and continuous learning. It reinforced my belief in the power of visual narratives in architectural cinematography. Looking back, I am proud of the progress I have made and excited about the endless possibilities that lie ahead.
