Redefining Corporate Office Interiors with Interactive Design

Welcome to RISOR, a workspace that transcends the traditional concept of an office. This corporate space has been meticulously designed to foster productivity, creativity, and well-being.
A Vision for a Modern Workspace
The objective behind RISOR was ambitious yet clear-cut. We aimed to create a modern, dynamic workspace that promotes productivity, creativity, and well-being. The design caters to employees with flexible working hours, striking a balance between focused work and social interactions. The result is a workspace that encourages collaboration, innovation, work-life balance, and playfulness.
Blending Work and Wellness
RISOR stands out for its seamless integration of wellness zones within the working area. The layout, a careful blend of formal and informal areas, is interconnected by green spaces, creating a harmonious flow within the workspace. Various wellness zones, including a lounge area, gaming zone, reading area, and nap room, are woven into the working area, creating a holistic environment that caters to the diverse needs of the employees.
Designing for the Future:
The design leverages a carefully chosen color palette and elements of nature to create a calming and inspiring environment. The use of greens, a stonewall, live moss, and other greenery brings elements of nature indoors. Automated lighting ensures optimal lighting conditions, while soundproof paneling in the call center area minimizes noise disturbance. The workstations are equipped with height-adjusting tables, and the informal sitting space features various seating configurations emphasizing ergonomics.
Project Background and Challenges:
The RISOR office, designed in 2019, faced challenges in conveying certain concepts to the client due to the limitations of the presentation tools available at the time. However, with the advent of new technology like Unreal Engine, we revisited this project and transformed it into an interactive architectural experience.
This approach allowed us to showcase feature-rich designs in an immersive medium, enabling one to virtually walk through the office, interact with the environment, and see how the space adapts to their presence.
Overcoming Challenges with Interactive Design
However, with the advent of new technology, like Unreal Engine, we revisited this project and transformed it into an interactive architectural experience.
This approach allowed us to showcase feature-rich designs in the best possible medium, creating an immersive experience that truly reflects the interconnectedness of the spaces. Now, one can walk through the office virtually, interact with the environment, and see how the space adapts to their presence.
This interactive experience brought a new dimension to my architectural presentations, allowing the client to fully understand and appreciate the intricacies of the design.
The Future of Architectural Design RISOR is more than just a workspace. It’s a testament to the future of architectural design - a future where we don’t just design buildings, but create experiences. By leveraging technological advancements and development tools like Unreal Engine, we can bring architectural designs to life, creating not just a design but an experience that can be explored in futuristic mediums like VR and metaverse.
The design I have created is not just a workspace, but a living, breathing entity that weaves the functions together seamlessly and adapts and responds to its inhabitants. It’s a space that fosters creativity, productivity, and well-being, a space that truly reflects the values and culture of the company. As an architect, it’s a space I am truly proud of.
